Hi, I’m Aoife FENNELL.

Aoife is deeply passionate about promoting the well-being of children, a journey that has spanned nearly 15 years. Beginning her career in the creative arts, she taught music and theatre before pursuing a long-held dream of working in creative therapies. Six years ago, she began her studies in Play Therapy, and in 2023, she worked as a Therapeutic Play Practitioner with Newbridge Family Resource Centre, where she continues to support children today. In 2024, she opened her private practice, Inner Path Play Therapy, expanding her work to provide a dedicated space for therapeutic support.

Recognising the importance of offering engaging and creative resources to families, Aoife became an accredited Creative Mindfulness Practitioner and holds a diploma in Neuro-Dramatic Play. This additional expertise allows her to provide enjoyable and beneficial support for children and their families.

Having lived with Type 1 Diabetes for 23 years and counting, Aoife has a special interest in supporting families navigating chronic illness and medical trauma. With firsthand experience of the physical and emotional challenges these situations bring, she deeply understands the impact on both the child and their family.

Aoife is also passionate about working with parents to support their parenting journey. She believes that the parent-child relationship is the foundation for a child’s emotional well-being and that connection is at the heart of healing and growth. By fostering understanding, communication, and playfulness, she helps parents build strong, supportive relationships with their children.

At Inner Path Play Therapy, Aoife is dedicated to supporting children and families through life’s challenges by providing a safe, nurturing space where children can express themselves and heal. Using a holistic approach that integrates creative and therapeutic techniques, she tailors her work to each child’s unique needs, helping them build resilience, develop coping skills, and find joy in their journey.

Aoife looks forward to walking this path alongside the families she supports.
